I have a fan page on facebook.  I'd love if you added me and I'd love it even more if you clicked the 'suggest to friends' link and showed my work to your friends and family.  Facebook makes it difficult to solicit new 'fans' without paying for ads (I'm around 192 right now).  Each new 'fan' is really exciting for me...Especially people from outside the US.  Art is nothing without viewers, and I am nothing without the good grace of people like yourself.  I understand the economy is terrible right now and most people cannot afford art, but by showing my work to your friends you're helping more than buying a drawing ever could.  

As a "bonus" there are pieces on facebook I never put on DA.

Just search "Josh Usmani" and look for "Josh Usmani-Illustrator, Cartoonist, Painter"

Our society wrongly conditions people to fear and regret mistakes and failure in our lives. Mistakes are the only way we grow. It is in our darkest moments that we surprise ourselves as we overcome obstacles that seem impossible. So many people fear questioning society, the status quo, assumptions, etc. because it leads to change. Too much change is instinctively unappealing in our quest for equilibrium. However, change is necessary, inevitable and natural; without it none of us would be here. We fear change because it is difficult and leads to our inevitable death, but growing as a conscious being is only possible through experimentation and a willingness to fail in order to progress. Change is the only path to reach your full potential of spiritual enlightenment. Embrace mistakes and failures the same way you embrace your successes.

It still hasn't sunk in yet.  Last night was the best of my life.  I can't believe I beat some of the artists/decks I did.  Not only did I meet DEREK HESS (He was a judge) but he complimented my deck and we had a good conversation with another judge and a very, very drunk man.  The drunk gentleman also came up when I was trying to discuss my piece with the Red Bull rep.  Both times he walked up and changed the subject to something he felt like talking about.  It wasn't very cool, but he was drunk and wearing sunglasses at 9pm so I just let him be him.  It's a free country.

My deck is in my gallery.  I have no idea what to say about it.  This is the best thing that could have possibly happened to me.  Yay!
